The MBNews object is a web site plug-in that lets you post and remove press releases, updates etc. live over the web. It allows you to forecast and/or time delay the display of each release. With MBNews you have the complete flexibility to add fresh content to your site using the information which is most important.
Some of our clients have two or three news objects installed so they can control different types of information: Events, Press Release or just items of interest. Clients within the wine industry use the MBNews object to post date for new releqases.

The MBNews object comes with four basic components:
  • The administrative window
  • The summary window
  • The individual story page
  • The news archive page
Each page plays a vital role in the successful use of this object.
The administrative window
The administrative window is your hub for all modifications to your MBNews object. With a user name and password, log-in, make the changes needed to your site and save them to a database. Content from these pages are stored and editable from nearly all browser types with a simple internet connection.
  • Log-in using a secure password
  • Select the page you want to edit or add a new page
  • Upload images needed for the web page
  • Make the modification using the admin WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) page editor
  • Save your edits
  • Enjoy the convenience of making changes to your site without having to hire a tech guy to do it for you!
The MBNews editor is a little unique compared to the other Mediabend objects. This editor allows you to set dates for when the release is to appear and when the release is scheduled to be archived.

The summary window
This is an example of the summary window. It usually features the most current items of interest and is located on the home page of you website. The summary is customizable and can be located just about anywhere on your site.

The individual story page
When the end user clicks on the "more..." link from the summary listing, the end user is taken to a single page - formatted to match your site - which includes the complete story. Once at the individual page, they will then see the text link for viewing the an archive of press releases.
See our release archive here.

The news archive page as shown below from our website lists all active press releases in one location for all to be accessible by the end-user. If the number of releases exceeds 10, we can customize (if requested) to add a pagination link so that too many releases do not appear on the same page.
This is our list of all active, archived "what's new" items.
